08 Mar #MYVIBE x CADDY x STREETWEAR CARTEL
FACT: I am obsessed with #TheWorkshop at Newtown Junction. Easily one of my most favourite spots in all of Jozi for a little more hangout vibe. I love all spaces which house a collective of labels bursting with excitement, more importantly, a cabal of brands whose evolution is eminent and carry a strong narrative. I live for such set-ups. Trust that I will be raving about my finds from the greatly crucial hub of cool in the inner city. An addition to making #TheWorkshop my most preferred go-to space for the sickest fashion is that there is a culture of housing and trading local fashion that people want to wear right now. Items of clothing that make sense to consumers across aesthetics. Right now, I am heavily hooked on pieces from the significantly notable Street Wear Cartel , newly opened at #TheWorkshop and trades a variety of perfectly curated local and international brands alongside the in-house label; @papichampu_sa under the fine guardianship of @mickyleunderated. As seen in these shots of myself and the infinitely talented Caddy, Street Wear Cartel does not run short of relevance with an evident hint of next-step-style. So well lauded, that some of the products in the flagship store have been favoured by local Hip-Hop royalty. The star of this shoot is the pair of plush velour sweat pants right on trend in an array of secondary colour tones. Our styling direction is derived from the concept of synchronized tastes. Not quite a twinning affair, more like effort to expose bits about ourselves that are more alike than we often care to think.
